Let WWW be a Brownian motion with Brownian filtration, let GGG be a simple predictable integrand with adapted strongly measurable coefficients, and let H:Ω×R→RH:Ω×ℝ→ℝH:Ω×R→R be jointly measurable, progressively measurable, and of finite squared ENNReal energy on every positive time interval. Assume also that the product G(s,ω)H(ω,s)G(s,ω)H(ω,s)G(s,ω)H(ω,s) is jointly measurable, progressively measurable, and has finite squared energy on every positive time interval.

For every t>0t>0t>0,

integralAgainst(G,stochasticIntegralBrownian(H),t)=stochasticIntegralBrownian(G H,t)P-almost everywhere.\texttt{integralAgainst}(G,\texttt{stochasticIntegralBrownian}(H),t) =\texttt{stochasticIntegralBrownian}(G\,H,t)\quad P\text{-almost everywhere}.integralAgainst(G,stochasticIntegralBrownian(H),t)=stochasticIntegralBrownian(GH,t)P-almost everywhere.

This is the associativity law between an elementary integral against the Itô integral and the Itô integral of the product. The strict positivity assumption on ttt is part of the statement.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
