This auxiliary lemma states the scalar-direction derivative of the joint logarithmic Laplace transform under explicit local moment assumptions.

Let n,N∈Nn,N\in\mathbb Nn,N∈N with N>0N>0N>0, E=RnE=\mathbb R^nE=Rn (EuclideanSpace ℝ (Fin n)), μ\muμ a probability measure on EEE, and f:E→Rf:E\to\mathbb Rf:E→R measurable. Let β,rJ,rG>0\beta,r_J,r_G>0β,rJ,rG>0, σβ=1+2/β2\sigma_\beta=\sqrt{1+2/\beta^2}σβ=1+2/β2 (sigma), and λ=\lambda=λ= jointLaw μ f β σβ N\mu\ f\ \beta\ \sigma_\beta\ Nμ f β σβ N on H=H=H= JointSpace N nN\ nN n. Let Γ\GammaΓ be the graph law of (f(x),x)(f(x),x)(f(x),x) in the Euclidean space indexed by Option⁡(Fin⁡n)\operatorname{Option}(\operatorname{Fin}n)Option(Finn) (Measure.map). Assume:

  1. erJ∥p∥∈L1(λ)e^{r_J\|p\|}\in L^1(\lambda)erJ∥p∥∈L1(λ).
  2. erG∥y∥∈L1(Γ)e^{r_G\|y\|}\in L^1(\Gamma)erG∥y∥∈L1(Γ).

For z∈Hz\in Hz∈H with scalar coordinate z0=0z_0=0z0=0 and ∥z∥<min⁡(rJ,rG)\|z\|<\min(r_J,r_G)∥z∥<min(rJ,rG), write zi∈Ez_i\in Ezi∈E for its copy blocks and e0e_0e0 for the scalar coordinate unit vector. Then

ddw∣w=0Λλ(we0+z)=∑i∈Fin⁡NFf(zi)σβN.\left.\frac{d}{dw}\right|_{w=0}\Lambda_\lambda(we_0+z) =\frac{\sum_{i\in\operatorname{Fin}N}F_f(z_i)}{\sigma_\beta\sqrt N}.dwdw=0Λλ(we0+z)=σβN∑i∈FinNFf(zi).

Here Λλ=\Lambda_\lambda=Λλ= logLaplace and Ff=F_f=Ff= tiltAverage, the average of fff under the exponential tilt at its argument. The conclusion is HasDerivAt, including derivative existence. This local identity requires no regular-potential or isotropy hypothesis.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
