This formalizes the operator-norm continuity estimate for Taylor tensors associated with a probability measure having all exponential moments.

Let EEE be a finite-dimensional real inner-product space, let μ\muμ be a probability measure on EEE, and assume that for every r∈Rr\in\mathbb Rr∈R the function x↦er∥x∥x\mapsto e^{r\|x\|}x↦er∥x∥ is integrable with respect to μ\muμ. Then, for every d∈Nd\in\mathbb Nd∈N, there exists a real constant CCC such that every f:E→Rf:E\to\mathbb Rf:E→R with f∈L2(μ)f\in L^2(\mu)f∈L2(μ) satisfies

∥Tdf∥≤C (∥f∥L2(μ)),\|T_d f\|\le C\,\bigl(\|f\|_{L^2(\mu)}\bigr),∥Tdf∥≤C(∥f∥L2(μ)),

where taylorTensor μ f d is the Taylor tensor and the Lean expression for the L2L^2L2 norm is (eLpNorm f 2 μ).toReal.

This gives a boundedness statement for the map f↦Tdff\mapsto T_d ff↦Tdf at each fixed order ddd. The constant may depend on μ\muμ and ddd.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
