This formalizes the smoothness part of the tilt-average framework in Bizeul–Klartag–Lehec, Equations (26)–(28), p. 9.

Let EEE be a finite-dimensional real inner-product space with Borel structure, let μ\muμ be a finite nonzero measure, and assume every exponential norm moment is finite:

∀r∈R,∫er∥x∥ dμ(x)<∞.\forall r\in\mathbb R, \quad \int e^{r\|x\|}\,d\mu(x)<\infty.∀r∈R,∫er∥x∥dμ(x)<∞.

For any real-valued f∈L2(μ)f\in L^2(\mu)f∈L2(μ), the tilt average

Ff(z)=∫f(x) dμz(x)F_f(z)=\int f(x)\,d\mu_z(x)Ff(z)=∫f(x)dμz(x)

is smooth on all of EEE:

Ff∈C∞(E).F_f\in C^\infty(E).Ff∈C∞(E).

Here tiltAverage μ f is defined using the exponentially tilted measure. The conclusion is global smoothness, not merely smoothness near the origin.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
