This statement extends the local-slope recovery bound from globally Lipschitz tests to all admissible tests.

Let VVV be a finite-dimensional real inner-product space with complete Borel measurable and second-countable structure, and let ν\nuν be a probability measure on VVV. Let g:V→Rg:V\to\mathbb Rg:V→R satisfy LocalSlope.Admissible ν g, which supplies the admissibility, local Lipschitz regularity, L2(ν)L^2(\nu)L2(ν) membership, measurability, and finite local-slope energy required by the definition.

Then

relaxation⁡(ν)([g]L2(ν))≤LocalSlope.energy⁡(ν,g).\operatorname{relaxation}(\nu)([g]_{L^2(\nu)}) \leq \operatorname{LocalSlope.energy}(\nu,g).relaxation(ν)([g]L2(ν))≤LocalSlope.energy(ν,g).

The energies are [0,∞][0,\infty][0,∞]-valued, and the admissibility hypothesis in particular ensures the relevant L2L^2L2 representative is available. This is the general density estimate for the local-slope energy.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
