Let EEE be finite-dimensional and complete with a real inner product, let mmm be an additive Haar measure, and let V,f:E→RV,f:E\to\mathbb RV,f:E→R. Assume that VVV and fff have HasTemperateGrowth, and that every exponential moment is integrable for μ=m.tilted⁡(−V)\mu=m.\operatorname{tilted}(-V)μ=m.tilted(−V). Then

∫(LVf)2 dμ=∫∥D2f∥HS2 dμ+∫D2V[∇f,∇f] dμ.\int (\mathcal L_Vf)^2\,d\mu =\int \|D^2f\|_{\mathrm{HS}}^2\,d\mu +\int D^2V[\nabla f,\nabla f]\,d\mu.∫(LVf)2dμ=∫∥D2f∥HS2dμ+∫D2V[∇f,∇f]dμ.

In the formalization, hessianSqStdBasis f represents the squared Hessian Hilbert–Schmidt norm in the standard orthonormal basis, while bilinearIteratedFDerivTwo represents the Hessian bilinear form. This is the integrated Bochner identity on the temperate-growth class.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
