This theorem gives integrability of a vector-valued function under all exponential moments.

Let EEE be a measurable normed space, let FFF be a normed additive group, and let μ\muμ be a measure such that er∥x∥e^{r\|x\|}er∥x∥ is integrable for every r∈Rr\in\mathbb Rr∈R. Suppose that g:E→Fg:E\to Fg:E→F is strongly measurable almost everywhere and that, for some C∈RC\in\mathbb RC∈R and k∈Nk\in\mathbb Nk∈N,

∥g(x)∥≤C(1+∥x∥)kfor every x∈E.\|g(x)\|\le C(1+\|x\|)^k\qquad\text{for every }x\in E.∥g(x)∥≤C(1+∥x∥)kfor every x∈E.

Then ggg is integrable with respect to μ\muμ. The result is a general domination lemma for polynomially bounded functions.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
