This auxiliary lemma assembles Euclidean moment identities from coordinatewise hypotheses.

Let AAA be a measurable space, ν\nuν a probability measure on AAA, and III a finite type with decidable equality. Let Y:A→RIY:A\to\mathbb R^IY:A→RI be measurable, with Euclidean target EuclideanSpace ℝ I. Assume:

  1. Each coordinate YiY_iYi belongs to L2(ν)L^2(\nu)L2(ν) (MemLp).
  2. ∫Yi dν=0\int Y_i\,d\nu=0∫Yidν=0 for every i∈Ii\in Ii∈I.
  3. ∫YiYj dν=δij\int Y_iY_j\,d\nu=\delta_{ij}∫YiYjdν=δij for every i,j∈Ii,j\in Ii,j∈I, where δij\delta_{ij}δij is 111 if i=ji=ji=j and 000 otherwise.

Then

Y∈L2(ν;RI),∫Y dν=0,∀u,v∈RI,∫⟨u,Y⟩⟨v,Y⟩ dν=⟨u,v⟩.Y\in L^2(\nu;\mathbb R^I),\qquad \int Y\,d\nu=0,\qquad \forall u,v\in\mathbb R^I,\quad \int\langle u,Y\rangle\langle v,Y\rangle\,d\nu=\langle u,v\rangle.Y∈L2(ν;RI),∫Ydν=0,∀u,v∈RI,∫⟨u,Y⟩⟨v,Y⟩dν=⟨u,v⟩.

This provides a finite-dimensional interface between coordinate moments and the bilinear second-moment identity.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
