This formalizes the inductive step for the cutoff version of BKL Section 6, including Equation (95), p. 25.

Assume the compact Letwin bound and the formal hypothesis Lemma51Bound. Let K≥153K\ge153K≥153, let m≥3m\ge3m≥3, and suppose that for every rrr with 2≤r<m2\le r<m2≤r<m both the cutoff claim at order r−1r-1r−1 and the compact posterior cumulant bound at order r−1r-1r−1 with constant envelope⁡(K,r)\operatorname{envelope}(K,r)envelope(K,r) hold. Then the cutoff claim holds at order m−1m-1m−1:

CutoffEnergyClaim⁡(K,m−1).\operatorname{CutoffEnergyClaim}(K,m-1).CutoffEnergyClaim(K,m−1).

The statement is an inductive implication, not a standalone universal cumulant theorem. It combines the previously assumed lower-order cutoff and cumulant estimates with the named compact-support and generator hypotheses.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
