This formalizes the positivity property of the localization parameter in Equation (67), p. 19 of Bizeul–Klartag–Lehec (arXiv:2610.05474v1). Let μμμ be isotropic with compact support, let γγγ satisfy the cutoff assumptions, and let ppp be an IsEldanCutoff process driven by a multidimensional Brownian motion with Brownian filtration.

For PPP-almost every ωωω, every t≥0t≥0t≥0, the operator Qt(ω)Q_t(ω)Qt(ω) is self-adjoint and positive semidefinite:

Qt(ω)=Qt(ω)∗and0≤⟨Qt(ω)x,x⟩ for every x.Q_t(ω)=Q_t(ω)^*\quad\text{and}\quad 0≤\langle Q_t(ω)x,x\rangle\ \text{for every }x.Qt(ω)=Qt(ω)∗and0≤⟨Qt(ω)x,x⟩ for every x.

The declaration uses IsSelfAdjoint and the quadratic-form inequality directly. It is a structural consequence used to express positivity of the evolving localization covariance correction.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
