This formalizes the generator identity corresponding to BKL (69).

Let n∈Nn\in\mathbb Nn∈N, let μ\muμ be an isotropic compactly supported probability measure on EuclideanSpace ℝ (Fin n), and let ppp be a posterior parameter. For all x,y∈Rnx,y\in\mathbb R^nx,y∈Rn, the generator applied to the scalar covariance-operator coefficient satisfies

L[q↦⟨Cov⁡(μq)x,y⟩](p)=−⟨Cov⁡(μp)x,y⟩.\mathcal L\left[q\mapsto\langle \operatorname{Cov}(\mu_q)x,y\rangle\right](p) =-\langle\operatorname{Cov}(\mu_p)x,y\rangle.L[q↦⟨Cov(μq)x,y⟩](p)=−⟨Cov(μp)x,y⟩.

Here cov μ hc q is the posterior covariance operator and Localization.generator is the uncut posterior generator. This identity is the operator-valued decay relation used in the covariance-generator analysis.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
