Let ν\nuν be a probability measure on a finite-dimensional Borel space with all exponential moments, let u∈L2(ν)u\in L^2(\nu)u∈L2(ν), and let d≥1d\ge1d≥1. Then the degree-ddd Taylor tensor is unchanged by centering:

Td(u−∫u dν)=Td(u).T_d\left(u-\int u\,d\nu\right)=T_d(u).Td(u−∫udν)=Td(u).

Equivalently, using the formalization's L2.center,

Td(center⁡(u))=Td(u).T_d(\operatorname{center}(u))=T_d(u).Td(center(u))=Td(u).

This is a technical fact used to replace weak derivatives by their centered versions in Taylor-tensor identities. No finite-dimensional assumption is required by this declaration beyond the Borel structure shown in the type.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
