This theorem is the weak derivative identity for an element of the closed weighted-gradient domain.

Let VVV be finite-dimensional, let mmm be an additive Haar measure, let ν\nuν be log-concave with nonempty interior support, and let U:V→RU:V\to\mathbb RU:V→R be continuous with ν=m.tilted⁡(−U)\nu=m.\operatorname{tilted}(-U)ν=m.tilted(−U). Let

h∈D ⁣(T‾ν,m,I),h\in D\!\left(\overline{T}_{\nu,m,I}\right),h∈D(Tν,m,I),

where III is the identity weight. For every C∞C^\inftyC∞ compactly supported test function ϕ:V→R\phi:V\to\mathbb Rϕ:V→R and every w∈Vw\in Vw∈V,

∫Vh(x) Dϕ(x)[w] dm(x)=−∫Vϕ(x)⟨T‾ν,m,Ih(x),w⟩ dm(x).\int_V h(x)\,D\phi(x)[w] \,dm(x) = -\int_V \phi(x)\left\langle \overline{T}_{\nu,m,I}h(x),w\right\rangle\,dm(x).∫Vh(x)Dϕ(x)[w]dm(x)=−∫Vϕ(x)⟨Tν,m,Ih(x),w⟩dm(x).

The function hhh is interpreted through its L2(ν)L^2(\nu)L2(ν) representative, and the closed operator is closedWeightedOperator. This provides the weak gradient relation needed for identifying the kernel of the closed operator.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
