This formalizes the compactly supported part of Lemma A.1 of Letwin (arXiv:2607.24164v1).

Let n∈Nn\in\mathbb Nn∈N, let μμμ be a probability measure on EuclideanSpace ℝ (Fin n), and assume that μμμ is log-concave, isotropic, and has compact measure support. Then there exists a sequence (ζj)(ζ_j)(ζj) of probability measures such that, for every jjj, ζjζ_jζj is isotropic and there exist KjK_jKj, WjW_jWj, and κjκ_jκj with:

  1. κj>0κ_j>0κj>0, KjK_jKj compact and convex, and int⁡Kj\operatorname{int}K_jintKj nonempty;
  2. WjW_jWj is C∞C^\inftyC∞ and y↦Wj(y)−(κj/2)∥y∥2y\mapsto W_j(y)-(κ_j/2)\|y\|^2y↦Wj(y)−(κj/2)∥y∥2 is convex on the whole space;
  3. ζjζ_jζj has density ENNReal.ofReal (exp (-W_j)) restricted to KjK_jKj with respect to volume;
  4. for every d≤4d\le4d≤4 and every v:Fin⁡(d)→Rnv:\operatorname{Fin}(d)\to\mathbb R^nv:Fin(d)→Rn, the mixed moments converge:
∫∏i⟨vi,x⟩ dζj(x)⟶∫∏i⟨vi,x⟩ dμ(x).\int\prod_i\langle v_i,x\rangle\,dζ_j(x) \longrightarrow \int\prod_i\langle v_i,x\rangle\,dμ(x).∫i∏⟨vi,x⟩dζj(x)⟶∫i∏⟨vi,x⟩dμ(x).

The dimension parameter is arbitrary, including n=0n=0n=0, exactly as in the Lean statement.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
