This statement converts a form-domain Poincaré inequality into an upper bound for the intrinsic literature constant.

Let VVV be finite-dimensional, let ν\nuν be log-concave with nonempty support interior, and let mmm be an additive Haar measure. Let C∈[0,∞)C\in[0,\infty)C∈[0,∞) be represented by a NNReal. Suppose every uuu in the domain of the closed weighted operator satisfies

∥center⁡νu∥2≤C ∥∇‾u∥2.\|\operatorname{center}_\nu u\|^2\le C\,\|\overline{\nabla}u\|^2.∥centerνu∥2≤C∥∇u∥2.

Then

CP(ν)≤C,C_P(\nu)\le C,CP(ν)≤C,

where the right-hand side is interpreted as the coercion of CCC to [0,∞][0,\infty][0,∞].

This is a general comparison interface between a domain-level energy gap and the intrinsic Poincaré constant. It does not assert the converse in this declaration.

Formalization Note. The conclusion is an inequality in ENNReal; the hypothesis is real-valued.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
