Let EEE be a finite-dimensional real inner-product space with Borel structure, let F:E→RF:E\to\mathbb{R}F:E→R be globally LLL-Lipschitz, and fix a direction v∈Ev\in Ev∈E. Then e−Fe^{-F}e−F has weak derivative along vvv given by

∂v(e−F)(x)=−e−F(x) Df(x)[v],\partial_v(e^{-F})(x)=-e^{-F(x)}\,Df(x)[v],∂v(e−F)(x)=−e−F(x)Df(x)[v],

where DfDfDf is represented by fderiv. Moreover, the derivative density belongs to L2L^2L2 on the restriction of Lebesgue measure to every compact set. No boundedness of FFF or global integrability of e−Fe^{-F}e−F is required.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
