This statement proves ergodicity of the heat semigroup in centered norm.

Let VVV, ν\nuν, mmm, and UUU satisfy the heat-model assumptions, with ν=m.tilted⁡(−U)\nu=m.\operatorname{tilted}(-U)ν=m.tilted(−U) and U∈C2U\in C^2U∈C2. For every u∈L2(ν)u\in L^2(\nu)u∈L2(ν),

∥center⁡ν(Ptu)∥⟶0as t→∞.\left\|\operatorname{center}_\nu(P_tu)\right\|\longrightarrow0 \qquad\text{as }t\to\infty.∥centerν(Ptu)∥⟶0as t→∞.

Here PtP_tPt is the semigroup generated by the closed weighted gradient operator.

This supplies the ergodicity hypothesis required by the curvature-to-Poincaré interface and applies to every L2(ν)L^2(\nu)L2(ν) input, not only operator-domain inputs.

Formalization Note. The limit is formulated as a filter limit along real t→+∞t\to+\inftyt→+∞; the conclusion concerns the norm of the centered class.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
