This formalizes the operator-domain part of Lemma 2.1 of Bizeul–Klartag–Lehec (arXiv:2610.05474v1), p. 7, for bounds (20) and (24).

Let VVV be a finite-dimensional real inner-product space with its Borel measurable structure, let mmm be an additive Haar measure on VVV, and let ν\nuν be a log-concave probability measure with nonempty interior support. Suppose that ν=m.tilted(−U)\nu=m\mathbin{.}\mathrm{tilted}(-U)ν=m.tilted(−U) for some U:V→RU:V\to\mathbb RU:V→R of class C2C^2C2. Let C∈[0,∞)C\in[0,\infty)C∈[0,∞) satisfy CP(ν)≤CC_P(\nu)\le CCP(ν)≤C, where the inequality is in [0,∞][0,\infty][0,∞]. If uuu belongs to the domain of the adjoint composition of the closed weighted operator, and uuu is centered, then:

∥u∥≤C ∥Tˉ†Tˉu∥,\|u\|\le C\,\|\bar T^\dagger\bar T u\|,∥u∥≤C∥Tˉ†Tˉu∥, ∥Tˉu∥2=⟨Tˉ†Tˉu,u⟩≤C ∥Tˉ†Tˉu∥2,\|\bar T u\|^2=\langle \bar T^\dagger\bar T u,u\rangle\le C\,\|\bar T^\dagger\bar T u\|^2,∥Tˉu∥2=⟨Tˉ†Tˉu,u⟩≤C∥Tˉ†Tˉu∥2,

and

∥Tˉu∥≤C ∥Tˉ†Tˉu∥.\|\bar T u\|\le \sqrt C\,\|\bar T^\dagger\bar T u\|.∥Tˉu∥≤C∥Tˉ†Tˉu∥.

Here the norms and inner product are those of the relevant L2(ν)L^2(\nu)L2(ν) spaces, and the first displayed domain element is interpreted through its underlying L2L^2L2 class.

This is a technical inverse-operator estimate used to control centered Poisson iterates and their gradient fields.

Formalization Note: The Poincaré constant is an ENNReal value, while CCC is an NNReal whose coercions appear in the inequalities; the operator is closedWeightedOperator and its adjoint composition is adjointComp. The statement is restricted to finite-dimensional VVV.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
